Several child actors get launched in Hollywood every year, but only a few manage to leave an indelible mark. One such actress was Amanda Bynes, who started acting at the young age of seven. Soon she began to appear in several advertisements and shows, skyrocketing her career in Tinsel Town. However given the difficult demands and stress of the business, she declared an indefinite hiatus from acting in 2010.

Investigation Discovery’s documentary series Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV looks into the unsettling claims made against Brian Peck, the former dialogue coach for Nickelodeon. The four-part series includes interviews with former cast and crew members who talk about the alleged abusive and toxic behavior that went on behind the scenes of their popular shows.
Among them is Drake Bell, star of Drake & Josh, who claims he was molested by Peck several times as a child. The documentary also revealed that Nickelodeon directors Beth and Rich Correll supported Peck in his legal battle against Bell.

Bad chicken-and-egg puns and indoctrination into animal cruelty as just good fun for everyone involved (including the animals). You know, for kids. I’m “biast” (pro): nothing
I’m “biast” (con): nothing
(what is this about? see my critic’s minifesto)
Un Gallo con Muchos Huevos translates into English as A Rooster with Many Eggs. Which doesn’t make any sense: roosters don’t have eggs or lay eggs; hens do that. But of course in Spanish, huevos is slang for “balls”… that is, testicles. So a fair transliteration of the title of this flick is A Rooster with Lots of Balls, or maybe just A Rooster with Balls. Which means that this CGI cartoon — in which the word huevos gets uttered a lot, and which features anthropomorphized eggs with arms and legs and faces and names — was intended to be one long dick joke. You know, for kids.

Nickelodeon has renewed The Haunted Hathaways for a full second season of 22 episodes. They're expected to kick off some time in 2014.
Only 11 episodes of the series' first season have aired so far. Nickelodeon intitially ordered 20 episodes and then wanted more, bringing the first season total to 26 installments. The next original episode will run on November 2nd.
The Haunted Hathaways follows a single mom and her two daughters as they move into a new home that's haunted by a dad and his two sons. The cast includes Amber Montana, Curtis Harris, Benjamin Flores Jr., Breanna Yde, Ginifer King, and Chico Benymon.

A series I have yet to watch a single episode of has been renewed for a second season. Nickelodeon has ordered a 22-episode second season (after a 20-episode first season) of its freshman half-hour comedy project The Haunted Hathaways, from writer-producer Robert Peacock. The series, which drew 2.3 million total viewers on average (and a 4.0 rating), airing during the Saturday 8:30 Pm slot, centers on a single mother (played by Ginifer King) and her daughters (Amber Montana, Breanna Yde), who move to New Orleans and learn that their new house is already occupied by a father (played by Chico Benymon) and his sons (Curtis Harris & Lil’...

Exclusive: Nickelodeon has ordered 6 more episodes of The Haunted Hathaways, bringing the supernatural comedy’s freshman season to 26 episodes. The Haunted Hathaways will return with originals on September 14 at 8:30 Pm. Since its July 13 launch, which drew solid 3.3 million total viewers, the live-action series has averaged 2.8 million total viewers, 1.5M K2-11 and 1.1M K6-11, improving its time period by double digits. The Haunted Hathaways joins another new Nick comedy series whose freshman season was recently supersized, Nick at Nite/NickMom’s Instant Mom. The Haunted Hathaways, executive produced by Boyce Bugliari & Jamie McLaughlin, follows the adventures of a not-so-typical blended family. When Michelle Hathaway (Ginifer King) relocates to New Orleans to open a bakery with her daughters Taylor (Amber Montana) and Frankie (Breanna Yde), they find out that their new home is already occupied by a ghost family comprised of jazz musician father Ray Preston (Chico Benymon), and...

This almost slipped by us... thanks to the several readers who emailed or sent me tweets about it. Nickelodeon has ordered 20-episodes of a new half-hour comedy project titled The Haunted Hathaways, from writer-producer Robert Peacock. The series centers on a single mother (played by Ginifer King) and her daughters (Amber Montana, Breanna Yde), who move to New Orleans and learn that their new house is already occupied by a father (played by Chico Benymon) and his sons (Curtis Harris, Lil’ P-Nut). And as if that isn't already enough of a surprise, they further discover that the father and his sons happen to be ghosts. By the way, in case you haven't already...

Whenever I happen to change the channel to Nickelodeon, without fail it will always be airing the latest episode of some bizarre creation that, for whatever reason, has somehow become popular. Please, don’t read that as negativity; weird is a better bet than trying to be plain, vanilla pudding normal. Just look at Adventure Time. That show is without a doubt this generation’s most strange concoction, but it deserves every ounce of popularity it’s managed to scrounge up. I can only hope Nickelodeon’s latest creation finds the same comfort zone of weirdness, especially since they’ve committed to 20 episodes. May I introduce to you Nickelodeon’s The Haunted Hathaways.
Coming from comedy writer-producer Robert Peacock, The Haunted Hathaways is the story of a very unconventionally blended family. No, we aren’t talking about a Scottsman who married a Persian and their wacky adventures – though that might be pretty cool.

Exclusive: Nickelodeon has handed a 20-episode order to The Haunted Hathaways, a half-hour project from veteran comedy writer-producer Robert Peacock. Created by Peacock, The Haunted Hathaways features an unconventional blended family and can be described as The Brady Bunch with a supernatural twist. It centers on a mom (Ginifer King) and her daughters (Amber Montana, Breanna Yde) who move to New Orleans and discover that their new house is already occupied by a dad (Chico Benymon) and his sons (Curtis Harris, Lil’ P-Nut)… who happen to be ghosts. Boyce Bugliari & Jamie McLaughlin, creators of the 2011 Nick series Bucket & Skinner’s Epic Adventures, have come on board as showrunners. The Haunted Hathaways was originally picked up to pilot in August. It joins another recently picked up Nickelodeon series, Dan Schneider’s Sam & Cat, starring iCarly‘s Jennette McCurdy and Victorious‘ Ariana Grande reprising their roles.
