With 8 Gold Records and 15 Albums to his credit, John Tikis is the ultimate Greek International performer. He has performed all over the world thrilling his audiences in Canada, The United Kingdom, Germany, U.S.A., Greece and throughout Asia. Following his inaugural success in Sydney Clubs performing at venues such as South Sydney Juniors Leagues Club, The Marconi Club, Canterbury Hurlstone Park R.S.L., Blacktown Workers Club, Canterbury Leagues Club and St. George Leagues Club, John returned to Australia in October 1999 to promote his newest C.D. while on his World tour.
John came to Australia when he was 14 years old from Greece to attend school in Melbourne of where he studied 'Performing Arts'. By 18 years of age he had started a band aptly named "John Tikis and The Playboys". In Melbourne he recorded 2 songs in Greek of which turned 'Gold'. After that time John came to Sydney to perform at the Zorba Nightclub'. Here he recorded again to receive another Gold Record. At that time he started his own show "Let's Go Greek" which worked all over Asia.
In 1974 he returned to Greece to record a further 15 albums and to perform in Greek Nightclubs. In 1981 he returned to Australia to host Channel 10's "Let's Go Greek, Endaxi"' show for 3 years.
