Xavier Laurent(II)
- Actor
- Writer
- Producer
Born in Aix en Provence, South of France, Xavier Laurent is from a rare breed of acting talent: He can be 'everyman' in the street yet on camera he lights up the screen, charismatically movie-star handsome with elegant, disheveled silver-streaked hair, piercing, pale-blue/green eyes and the obligatory bristle-brush stubbled chin. He owns one of the most winsome smiles since Paul Newman handed his in. If you grow into the face you deserve, then Xavier's got a million in the karma bank. After studying Economics at the McGill University in Montreal, he entered the renowned Cours Florent in Paris before continuing his training with American technics( Meisner, Strasberg, Adler) and British technics ( London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.) His career as an actor began in the French TV series School of Life which enjoyed great success in France and abroad. He has featured in big budget Hollywood movies, rubbing shoulders with Chris Hemsworth and Olivia Wilde in Rush; Bruce Willis and John Malkovich in RED2; George Clooney and Matt Damon in Monuments Men; and Tom Hanks and Omar Sy in Inferno. When not working in film and television, he is forging an excellent reputation as an acting coach, teaching the next generation of Brando and Streep. He currently lives in Aix with his wife and daughter. Quote: "Acting is the Art of Movement. It is making words into flesh."
