Amikam Kovner is a writer and director, graduate of Tel Aviv University Film Department. Amikam's debut, "Haven" had its international premiere at the 2014 Moscow International Film Festival (official competition).
His second film "Echo" premiered at the Chicago international film festival 2018, and won best film at the Torino underground film festival, and best lead actor at the EuroAsia film festival.
Amikam Kovner also co-wrote the adventure film "The Raft" (premiered July 2021). He is the writer of the film "Hunger" that will start production on November 2023.
His short films "Scar", "The Home Leave" and "Fatherland" were screened in dozens of film festivals worldwide, and won numerous awards (Grand prix - best international film, Brussels short film festival; Best short film, 2annas IFF).
Amikam Kovner has been teaching film production and screenwriting for the last 12 years.
