Rob Sorcher is Chief Content Officer for Cartoon Network, responsible for driving the network's content development, and its digital and gaming businesses. Sorcher oversees Cartoon Network Studios in Burbank, CA, executive-producing content for linear and digital exhibition, and managing original IP across all aspects of the business. Sorcher is also charged with overseeing digital strategy and product development across multiple platforms for Cartoon Network-branded products and services.
Prior to joining Turner, Sorcher was EVP programming and production for AMC Network, where he is credited with leading the network to tremendous growth and critical acclaim by introducing scripted originals, including the Golden Globe and Emmy-winning television dramas Mad Men and Breaking Bad, and the Emmy-winning miniseries Broken Trail.
Sorcher has also served as GM for USA Network, and EVP programming and production for Fox Family Channel. Earlier in his career, Sorcher worked at Cartoon Network as its first general manager.
Sorcher began his career as a New York City advertising executive, creative-directing for Grey Advertising, Griffin-Bacal, and Benton & Bowles.
