- Michael Lesslie was born in 1984 in England, UK. Michael is a producer and writer, known for Macbeth (2015), The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes (2023) and Assassin's Creed (2016).
- As a playwright his adaptation of the film Swimming With Sharks was produced in the West End, starring Christian Slater, Matt Smith and Helen Baxendale, when he was 23. Since then his original play Prince of Denmark was staged at the National Theatre and the West End and he has had several other plays produced internationally, including a world tour of his adaptation of Calderon's The Constant Prince.
- Spent a year after school working in casting at the Donmar Warehouse Theatre in London.
- Won the the Cameron Mackintosh Award for New Writing for his play "Face Up, Face Down", which allowed him the chance to develop the script with Patrick Marber.
- Attended Harrow School where he was Head Boy.
- Graduated with a double first in English from Exeter College, Oxford University in 2006.
