British architect. His most famous designs include The Pompidou Centre
in Paris, London's Lloyd's building, the European Court of Human Rights
in Strasbourg, and the controversial Millenium Dome at Greenwich,
London.
He studied at the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London, and earned a master's degree at Yale.
He won most of architecture's major honors, including the Pritzker Prize and the Stirling Prize. He was knighted in 1991.
