Star Wars Resistance is a series that I am passionate about and always ready to defend. However, it's very much the dark horse of the franchise, often forgotten in the run of other shows. Now that it's been out for a few years, I think it's a good time to look at it again, discuss how it's the most unlucky of the Star Wars series, and why you should try it if you haven't. That's because Star Wars Resistance is Andor for kids!
Resistance's Unlucky Run Set the Stage For Star Wars TV After It
When Resistance was first released, some fans gave it a lot of criticism. It was heavily compared to The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels. This is a bit of an unfair circumstance because Resistance does not function like its predecessors. It was doing something that Star Wars TV hadn't done up to that...

With so many different personalities assembled in the cast for The Challenge: Battle of the Eras, there are plenty of friends, rivals, hookups, and exes.
Several of those exes are part of the Era 3 team, as Jordan Wiseley is teammates with his ex-fiancee, Tori Deal.
The couple has experienced difficult times in recent seasons, as Jordan joined the Ride or Dies cast late and partnered with Tori’s best friend, Aneesa Ferreira.
That brought emotional moments throughout the season, with Tori often confronting Jordan, and sometimes she was left in tears.
They finally got on the same page, at least as friends and allies, but working as teammates is another story.
The Challenge revealed sneak peek footage from Season 40, with fans calling out Tori for her commentary about Jordan.

Match #1: Hammerstone def. Frankie Kazarian and Kushida The following is courtesy of tnawrestling.com:
Hammerstone dominated early with a massive belly-to-belly suplex on both Frankie Kazarian and Kushida. After Kazarian attempted to ambush Hammerstone from behind, he quickly retreated, only to be caught in a double-team beatdown by Hammerstone and Kushida. Hammerstone sent Kazarian crashing face-first into the steps, but Kazarian nearly stole the win with a slingshot cutter! Just as it seemed Kazarian was on his way to Ultimate X, Kushida intervened, but Kaz was quick to counter with a leg drop. Kushida teased a mist just as Kazarian was about to hit Fade to Black, then locked in the Hoverboard Lock. However, Hammerstone powered through, reversing it into the Nightmare Pendulum to secure the victory!

If the first thought that crossed your mind after you came across the title, the trailer, or clips from Saving Bikini Bottom: The Sandy Cheeks Movie was, “Haven’t I already seen this movie before?” Well, you’re not wrong. Earlier this year, this movie was leaked on Twitter, and it was up for about 5 hours on the social platform before it was taken down. But, since nothing on the internet ever gets deleted, it was downloaded and shared in various formats. Hence, the movie has been unofficially reviewed and rated across many platforms. As someone who happens to be chronically online, I did take a peek at it. However, as soon as I realized that it was an unfinished product, I peeled my eyes away from it. And I am so glad that I did because Saving Bikini Bottom is silly, fun, and delivers a surprisingly relevant commentary on consumerism.

Cinema Guild has secured U.S. distribution rights for “Matt and Mara,” directed by Kazik Radwanski and starring Deragh Campbell and Matt Johnson.
The film debuted in the Encounters section at the Berlin International Film Festival earlier this year and closed the Jeonju International Film Festival in May.
The narrative follows Mara (Campbell), a creative writing professor, whose life takes an unexpected turn when she reconnects with Matt (Johnson), an author from her past. As their relationship develops, Mara navigates the complexities of her strained marriage to an experimental musician. When her husband unexpectedly cancels plans to drive Mara to a conference out of town, Matt accompanies her instead and the pressure in their undefined relationship slowly builds.
Campbell and Johnson reunite for the film after their roles in Radwanski’s “Anne at 13,000 ft.”
The deal was brokered by Cinema Guild president Peter Kelly and the film’s producers, Medium Density Fibreboard Films.

It’s been nearly nine years since Metal Gear Solid 5 first came out, and it has since held its place as one of the most extraordinary stealth experiences in gaming. Although Kojima could only partially realize his creative vision with the game, it can still dominate most of today’s games.
Funnily enough, the most prominent instances of the game’s vision come from all the little details that push players into the realm of speculation and wonder. Even today, all these years later, people are still finding new information that hints at the game’s final plot twist.

Another season of Perfect Match has come to an end, and only one couple walked away with the grand prize.
This season, we watched another group of eligible singles from across the reality TV universe shack up in a tropical paradise looking for love.
Only 10 of the 25 contestants made it to the finale, comprising five couples: Chris Hahn and Tolú Ekundare, Bryton Constantin and Elys Hutchinson, Kaz Bishop and Micah Lussier, Stevan Ditter and Alara Taneri, and Nigel Euro and Christine Obanor.
The couple deemed the “Perfect Match” this season was Christine and Nigel, one of the last duos to couple up — but did they last after their season ended?
Speaking with Tudum by Netflix, Christine and Nigel revealed that they’ve since broken up.
As Christine put it, “Neither of us were in the right headspace, but our hearts wanted to give it a shot.”

No one in the Shadow and Bone world is better at keeping secrets than Kaz Brekker (Freddy Carter). His crackling tension with Inej? Unspoken. His heartbreaking past? Hidden. And, in the Season 2 premiere, we learn that he’s been sitting on one of Jesper’s (Kit Young) biggest secrets for a while.
Jesper is a Durast — and even he didn’t know his best bud Kaz had any idea.
The truth comes out in the first half of the episode, when Kaz and Jesper are handcuffed by the smiling pirate Sturmhond (Patrick Gibson). Rather than actually freeing Jesper himself, Kaz tosses his friend a metal coin. Eventually, Jesper turns the coin into a lockpick. Jesper is taken aback that Kaz knew about his Durast abilities, but not shocked. Kaz always knows everything.
The scene may have you asking, “What’s a Durast in the first place?” Especially since the Grisha...

For years, Rob Mariano operated as a veritable Survivor ambassador, having first appeared in Marquesas before going on to compete five more times on the CBS franchise. His celebrity became so valuable to the network that he would compete twice on The Amazing Race and even allowed CBS to film his 2005 nuptials to fellow Survivor contestant Amber Brkirch.
But when NBC’s Deal or No Deal Island came calling with the chance to compete, Mariano didn’t hesitate to put CBS reality shows in the rearview mirror so he could try something new on a different network.

‘The Challenge’ Season 39 spoilers: Who goes home in episode 6?
The Challenge Season 39 Episode 6 is here, and spoilers indicate another veteran mercenary is coming down to take more money from the pot. So, who heads home in episode 6? Spoilers note that Callum Izzard goes head to head against veteran Devin Walker, and Devin wins, sending Callum home.

This article contains spoilers from the Grishaverse books.
The cancellation of Netflix’s Shadow and Bone is upsetting for many reasons. The series’ second season ends with several major cliffhangers. The fates of multiple characters are now eternally left up in the air. But mostly it’s because the world of Shadow and Bone has such potential, and it doesn’t feel like we were (or ought to have been) done with it yet. An excellent example of how to do a YA fantasy adaptation right, the series managed to stay remarkably faithful to the spirit of author Leigh Bardugo’s “Grishaverse” series of novels even as it made big changes from the source material.
Combining characters and storylines from multiple books was always going to be an unwieldy task—and the show admittedly did stumble under the weight of its many competing plots in its second season, which wasn...

In 2014 and 2015, Vertigo published Si Spencer’s eight-issue graphic novel Bodies, a mind-bending mystery about four police officers from different historical eras who discover the same corpse in the same London location, decades apart. Featuring detectives from the present day, the 1940s, the 1890s and 2053, it’s a complex conspiracy thriller about a very dark future. Originally illustrated by four artists – Dean Ormston, Phil Winslade, Meghan Hetrick and Tula Lotay – each era had its own distinct feel and look.
Spencer, who had also written on other Vertigo titles including Judge Dredd and Books of Magick: Life During Wartime, sadly passed away in February 2021, meaning he wasn’t able to see Paul Tomalin’s eight-part Netflix series adapted from his work. It’s out now, with a sprawling cast of characters including Boiling Point and This Is England’s Stephen Graham, several established actors and a handful of newcomers. Here’s more about them.

Neill Blomkamp’s “Gran Turismo” movie from Sony Pictures packs all the adrenaline and all the emotions. Based on a true story, the film follows young Jann Mardenborough (Archie Madekwe) as he gets the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to go from a video game racer to a real race car driver. It all started with Gran Turismo game creator Kazunori Yamauchi (Takehiro Hira) who got ahold of an automobile simulator and transformed it into a very real racing experience for gamers. Dreamer and Nissan marketing executive Danny Moore (Orlando Bloom) took the love for the game a step further by giving the best players a chance to go through a Gran Turismo academy to compete for the chance at racing on some of the professional courses featured in the game.

The fourth episode of The Lincoln Lawyer ended with the plea bargain offered to Mickey and Lisa being off the table, which proves that Andrea has a smoking gun that could derail the defense. Mickey is guessing it might be about Lisa’s ex-husband, but he is not ready to make any judgment as of now. How will Part 1 of the show end? Is there any hope for Lisa?
Spoilers Ahead
Mickey’s Attraction
The episode opens with Mickey dreaming about Lisa, and it proves the fact that Mickey can’t stop thinking about his client, and it is morally unethical to even have a physical and emotional relationship with someone you’re representing. It is also considered a conflict of interest because the outcome of the case would benefit Mickey as well as Lisa. They should be thankful that the media has not caught up on the two dates they had; otherwise,...

The second episode of this season of The Lincoln Lawyer ended with Russell Lawson finally behind bars, thanks to Mickey’s meticulous plan. With that done and dusted, Mickey must take care of Lisa’s ordeal because she has been taken into custody on charges of Mitchell Bondurant’s murder. Is Lisa the killer, or is she being set up to hide something bigger?
Spoilers Ahead
Lisa Is In Trouble
Mickey reaches the police station to understand the situation at hand, to get a grip on what happened up until her arrest, and what the charges are against her other than murder. He initially finds it difficult to get a hold of her, but he tries to manipulate a fellow detective into helping him, but that does not work in his favor. Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is someone who manages to provoke a wild array of opinions. Well, now he is the reason behind a short film titled ‘Killing Boris Johnson’ which is likely to raise a few eyebrows.
The short film – part of Cannes’ La Cinef selection – comes from director Musa Alderson-Clarke and producer Solomon Golding, recent graduates of the U.K.’ s National Film and Television School, and bares the distinction of being the only U.K. student film to feature in the festival this year, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
It’s also quite possibly the only film that, as the name suggests, has the death of a head of state, and a current politician who remains very much alive, as its central talking point.
“It’s inspired by my own life,” says Alderson-Clarke, who clarifies – maybe unnecessarily – that it’s not actually based on his own life.

Dn first caught sight of Musa Alderson-Clarke’s tense thriller Killing Boris Johnson back at the Nfts’ graduate showcase earlier this year. It was a film that stood out to us through its blending of a personal narrative of a grief-stricken young man with that of a searing political thriller. These two elements of Alderson-Clarke’s screenplay converge in a fascinating yet smoothly-done psychological manner which makes the writer/director certainly one to watch for the future. It’s no surprise to us that the film kicks off what will undoubtedly be a highly successful festival circuit run by debuting at Cannes today as part of the film festival’s La Cinef Selection, for which it was chosen as one of 16 films from among 2000 projects submitted by film schools from all around the world and is the only UK student film to be included in the festival’s selection. For documentary-maker and dating app addict Zoe (Lily James), swiping right has only delivered an endless stream of Mr Wrongs, to her eccentric mother Cath’s (Emma Thompson) dismay. For Zoe’s childhood friend and neighbour Kaz (Shazad Latif), the answer is to follow his parents’ example and opt for an arranged (or “assisted”) marriage to a bright and beautiful bride from Pakistan. As Zoe films his hopeful journey from London to Lahore to marry a stranger, chosen by his parents, she begins to wonder if she might have something to learn from a profoundly different approach to finding love.

Shortly before Lily James spent four hours a day transforming into Pamela Anderson for Pam & Tommy, she got back into the swing of things, post-Covid shutdown, by way of What’s Love Got to Do with It?, a London and Lahore-set romantic comedy. Filming mostly took place in James’ own backyard of London, and her co-lead, Shazad Latif, happened to be a longtime friend and former flatmate. So, in hindsight, What’s Love was likely the perfect amount of normal before the whirlwind of Pam & Tommy.
Written by Jemima Khan and directed by Shekhar Kapur, the film centers on Zoe (James), a documentarian who decides to chronicle her childhood friend Kaz’s (Latif) arranged marriage, from the first Skype call with his bride-to-be, to their first time meeting in Lahore, Pakistan. There are very few movie genres in which Emma Thompson hasn’t left her mark, but she’s established a special pedigree in romantic comedies: from “The Tall Guy” to “Sense and Sensibility” to “Love Actually” to “Good Luck to You, Leo Grande,” she’s explored love in more ways on screen than most people get to experience in real life.
In the romantic entanglements of writer-producer Jemima Khan’s “What’s Love Got to Do With It?,” Thompson’s more of a well-meaning instigator than an active participant, playing a divorcee named Cath who clumsily tries to make a match for her serially-single filmmaker daughter Zoe, played by Lily James. Zoe, meanwhile, is more interested in documenting the arranged marriage agreed to by her childhood friend Kazim (Shazad Latif), not realizing the complicated feelings that his impending nuptials are igniting in her about relationships past, present and future.

The Challenge: World Championship episode 5 ended with a stalemate that resulted in Ben Driebergen and Kaycee Clark seemingly getting blindsided into elimination. Ben might have unintentionally put them in the Arena by not voting for Jordan Wiseley and Kaz Crossley, as he previously told Danny McCray. However, it’s possible Ben didn’t cause the stalemate because Jodi Weatherton claimed it would have been prevented if one of her allies voted with her and Team Australia.

When Wes Bergmann and Zara Zoffany placed last in The Challenge: World Championship episode 5, the rest of the cast took the opportunity to throw in another strong team to face them in the Arena.
However, they couldn’t agree on who, resulting in a stalemate. Therefore, it gave daily winners Darrell Taylor and Kiki Morris all the power to throw any team they wanted into elimination.
