Adrien Brody and Felicity Jones hit the red carpet separately while attending the 2024 Venice International Film Festival premiere of their new movie The Brutalist held on Sunday (September 1) in Venice, Italy.

The 51-year-old actor was joined by his girlfriend Georgina Chapman, while the 40-year-old actress was joined by her husband Charles Guard.

Also in attendance were their co-stars Joe Alwyn, Guy Pearce, Raffey Cassidy, Isaach De Bankole, Emma Laird and Alessandro Nivola, as well as director/co-writer Brady Corbet, his wife/co-writer Mona Fastvold and their daughter Ada.

Earlier in the day, the cast and writers stepped out for the photo call ahead of the big premiere.

After the premiere screening, the film received a 12-minute ovation, where Adrien was brought to tears as he tried to direct applause to his co-stars and the director, according to Variety.

The film follows Adrien as “László Tóth, over nearly four decades as he immigrates to the U.

Brady Corbet’s The Brutalist was the talk of the Lido on Sunday as the seven-years-in-the-making period epic finally received its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival’s historic Sala Grande cinema.

The audience inside the premiere erupted in applause as the credits began to roll on the film’s epic three-hour, 35-minute running time, giving Corbet and his cast a rousing, festival-best 13-minute standing ovation. Stars Adrien Brody and Felicity Jones looked teary at times by the effusive reaction to the movie.

The Hollywood Reporter gave the film a rave review, with chief critic David Rooney describing The Brutalist as “a monumental symphony of the immigrant experience” with a “devastating” performance by Brody as Tóth.

So many stars came out to celebrate the premiere of Lola!

A premiere for the movie was held on Saturday (February 3) in Los Angeles.

If you didn’t know, Lola is written and directed by Nicola Peltz, who was present at the star-studded event. She also stars in the film.

Her husband Brooklyn Beckham was there to support her too! Other stars in attendance included Nicola‘s Bff Selena Gomez, Melanie Lynskey, Victoria Beckham, Cruz Beckham, Adrien Brody, and Georgina Chapman. Guests sipped on Casamigos coctails throughout the evening.

A Norwegian model took the stand in Harvey Weinstein’s trial on Wednesday and testified that the former movie mogul allegedly raped her, masturbated in front of her and propositioned her for a threesome.

The complex testimony spanned a series of events over a number of years. The alleged incidents occurred during industry events such as the BAFTA Awards, New York Fashion Week, the Cannes Film Festival and AFI Fest, as well as an audition for the musical film “Nine,” which was distributed by The Weinstein Company in 2009.

Weinstein’s defense questioned the woman, known in the case as Natassia M., as to why she agreed to see Weinstein repeatedly after she alleges she was sexually assaulted. She spoke about the power imbalance between her and Weinstein, telling the jury she was concerned that if she didn’t keep up a friendly relationship with Weinstein, he would blacklist her from the biz.

The Marchesa fashion designer, 43, was spotted running errands in New York City on Friday. Her outing came just two days after her ex-husband’s sentencing.

As disgraced producer Harvey Weinstein sat in a New York City courtroom learning of his guilty verdict on rape and sexual assault charges on Monday, his ex-wife Georgina Chapman was nowhere to be seen.

Weinstein, 67, was found guilty of a criminal sexual act in the first degree and rape in the third degree and acquitted on three other charges, according to The New York Times.

With only two episodes left this season, Wednesday’s Project Runway All Stars presented the remaining four designers with their greatest challenge yet — and not everyone rose to the occasion.

“Recently, what constitutes a family has been debated in society; families now come in all shapes and sizes,” Alyssa Milano told the group before explaining this week’s “family” challenge: “You will each be creating outfits for three members of a modern family. Your designs must be cohesive, because each of your families will take a portrait photo together, and that family portrait will be revealed to everyone on the runway.

The judges on “Project Runway All Stars” sure are unforgiving. The two designers on the chopping block at the end of “Nina Says Don’t Cry Over Spilt Silk” were Anthony Ryan Auld and Michelle Lesniak, the only two designers who had won two previous design challenges (Lesniak just won her second last week). It was Auld who ended up exiting the competition after a challenge he tearfully struggled with, but I don’t think he really deserved to go. He was one of the best designers of the season, and maybe I’m in the minority but I thought he was one of the better designers of the night too. Do you agree? Auld’s heart wasn’t really in this week’s challenge, which was to design a gown for a royal ball with luxurious silk.

As Heidi Klum used to say on “Project Runway,” “In fashion, one day you’re in, and the next you’re out” … unless you’re Dmitry Sholokhov. The bulletproof designer, who won both “Runway” season 10 and “All Stars” season 4, has looked just as indomitable in “All Stars” season 7, which brought together an entire cast of past champions from around the world. He won the very first challenge of the season and has been safe every week since. But in “All-Inclusive” he found himself in uncharted territory: the bottom two! My hot take is that the judges’ criticisms were overdue.

“All-Inclusive” challenged the designers to create gender-neutral street-wear looks for various male, female, and non-binary models. Sholokhov’s primary inspiration was a trench coat with a crisscross in the front and an open back, all in a silver metallic fabric. Sean Kelly just couldn’t get it together on “Project Runway All Stars.” He won the red carpet design challenge in “Pedal to the Metal,” but that turned out to be a rare triumph for him. He was plagued by inconsistency, and he ended up with more low scores than anyone else this season so far. You know the right designer was sent home when their only defense is: “I really don’t think that my outfit today was that bad.” (Oh, but it was. It really was.)

Wednesday’s episode of Project Runway All Stars sent the season’s remaining eight designers to Jc Penney to “shop for three different daytime separates and transform them into one sensational nighttime look.” Unfortunately, two of those elements — specifically “sensational” and “nighttime” — were missing from Cynthia Hayashi‘s final presentation.

“The vest is a little frumpy,” guest judge Vanessa Williams said in her critiques. “It’s a little matronly.

In the first six weeks of competition on “Project Runway All Stars” there had been six different design challenge winners — no repeats. That finally changed in the lucky seventh week. Or at least, it was lucky for Anthony Ryan Auld, who won the “Pure Imagination” avant garde challenge. That made him the first contestant to win two challenges. Did he deserve his repeat victory? This challenge, inspired by “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory,” was to create a never-before-seen fashion invention that would be incorporated into their looks. The ever-supportive Dmitry Sholokhov wondered what the point of such an invention was in a world full of smartphones, but the judges didn’t share his grumpy assessment.

“What we’ll see will defy explanation.” Those lyrics from “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” couldn’t have been more fitting on “Project Runway All Stars.” In episode seven, “Pure Imagination,” the designers embarked on this season’s avant garde challenge. The avant garde challenge has always been an opportunity for designers to let their freak flags fly, but they had better fly high, especially this season. In the first six weeks of the competition the judges saw some wild, unflattering designs, but they have often been harder on contestants who created bland, uninspired looks (like Juli Grbac) than those who took big swings and missed (like three-time low-scorer Django Steenbakker). And when it comes to avant garde fashion, there’s nothing worse than boring.

However, he hasn’t been safe since week three, and he hasn’t gotten a single high score from the judges yet. Anya Ayoung-Chee warned us in the season premiere of ‘Project Runway All Stars” that sewing wasn’t her strong suit. She was almost eliminated from the show on that very first challenge. But then she seemed to get along just fine, earning safe scores from the judges every week thereafter … until now. In episode six, “Pedal to the Metal,” the rubber finally met the road and she couldn’t drape her way out of it, even with ample assistance from her fellow designers. Did she really deserve to go? Ayoung-Chee’s strength was in flowing looks, so she knew she was in trouble as soon as the challenge was announced: to create a red carpet look with metallic fabric. The problem was that a metallic fabric wouldn’t work with her usual aesthetic, so it exposed her biggest weakness as a designer.

A metal-themed challenge on Wednesday’s episode of Project Runway All Stars took one designer a little too far out of her element. The remaining 10 contestants were instructed to create an “elegant red carpet carpet look using metallics,” one that also includes a “unique texture.”

For the most part, the designers seemed pretty confident going into this challenge — perhaps too confident. To paraphrase a common sentiment, I don’t know much about fashion, but I know what I like. And I like “Project Runway All Stars” front-runner Dmitry Sholokhov just fine. But after five weeks of competition I’m kind of wondering what all the fuss is about. This week the designers had to make sophisticated outwear out of underwear, using the style and structure of corsets to create their runway looks. But Garvida was already rubbing his opponents the wrong way before the judges even laid their eyes on the finished products. As we also saw last week in “Buckle Up!” Garvida had a tendency to be, shall we say, demanding with his models, instructing them on exactly how they should present his designs down to the smallest gestures.

None of Project Runway All Stars‘ remaining 13 designers were thrilled by the announcement of an unconventional materials challenge on Wednesday’s episode, but they channeled their inner Tim Gunn and made it work — for the most part.

Seated aboard a Southwest airplane, the show’s 13 remaining designers react to the two words no contestant ever wants to hear: “unconventional materials challenge.” Host Alyssa Milano gives the designers exactly five minutes to run to baggage claim and sift through random suitcases to collect usable materials.
