Ayse Tezel

Ayse was born in London and has worked as an actress in Australia, New Zealand, France and London. Half Turkish and half New Zealander, Ayse has traveled widely and has become a sought after voice over artist in addition to her extensive screen work.
Ayse made her television debut on
Shortland Street (1992)
immediately after graduating from South Seas Film and Television School
in New Zealand in 2002. Shortly after this, she filmed her first major
movie role in the US romantic comedy Meet Me in Miami.
Soon after, she moved to Sydney and quickly landed leading roles in
Australian independent feature films Gene X and 'Court of Lonely
Royals' which she supported at the Cannes Film Festival.
She then returned to London to study The Method and played the female
lead in the award winning feature film Other Side of the Game.
Based back in New Zealand since late 2009, Ayse has appeared as a guest
in many well known television shows and also in feature films, short
films, commercials and has been the voice of many commercial campaigns.
Ayse is best known for playing the role of Canthara in
'Spartacus: War of the Damned'
and the role of Maria opposite
Robbie Magasiva
the box office smash hit 'Sione's 2 Unfinished Business'.
