Exclusive: Actor and producer Abbie Cornish has signed with Atlas Artists for management.

The Australia native is a SAG Award winner who most recently headlined Sam Macaroni’s thriller, Blackout and Kirk Harris’ film Dakota. She also recently starred alongside Anthony Hopkins in Lionsgate’s thriller The Virtuoso. Cornish has also featured in big-screen titles including Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri with director Martin McDonagh, for which she shared in the SAG Award for best ensemble for cast in a motion picture. She also was seen in Robocop with Joel Kinnaman, Seven Psychopaths, Sucker Punch for director Zach Snyder, Bright Star with Ben Whishaw, Somersault, Candy opposite Heath Ledger, A Good Year with Russell Crowe, Stop-Loss with Ryan Phillippe and Channing Tatum, and Limitless with Bradley Cooper.

Exclusive: Abbie Cornish (Jack Ryan) and Laz Alonso (The Boys) have signed on to star in Detained, a psychological thriller from director Felipe Mucci (Two Deaths of Henry Baker), which counts Justin H. Min (The Umbrella Academy), John Patrick Amedori (Dear White People), Silas Weir Mitchell (Grimm), Moon Bloodgood (Falling Skies), Josefine Lindegaard (The Comeback Trail) and Breeda Wool (Mr. Mercedes) amongst its supporting cast.

The film follows a woman (Cornish) who wakes up in a police interrogation room with no memory of the night prior. The accusations against her may have life-altering implications. However, in this isolated police station, something is not quite right.

Mucci wrote the script with Jeremy Palmer. Kinogo Pictures’ Ryan Scaringe is producing, with Amy Lippens serving as co-producer. Cornish and Alonso are exec producing alongside Monica Sufar, who is also handling sales for the film.

Exclusive: Charlotte McKinney, who stars opposite Alexis Knapp in the upcoming horror/thriller Phobias, has signed with APA.

McKinney was recently seen in the Columbia/Blumhouse action-thriller Fantasy Island, in Sam Macaroni’s Lionsgate comedy Guest House, and in Robert Schwartzman’s indie comedy The Argument. Additional film credits include starring opposite Leah Remini and Tiffany Haddish in Sony Crackle’s Mad Families, as well as featured roles in Baywatch, Flatliners, and First We Take Brooklyn. She also appears as a Guest Judge in an upcoming episode of the new truTV series, Fast Foodies.

McKinney became known internationally in 2015 when millions of viewers watched her ‘au naturel’ in the Carl’s Jr. “All Natural” Super Bowl Xlix commercial, which garnered 4.5 billion impressions in less than a year of its launch.

McKinney, who was previously with UTA, is also repped by Burn Entertainment.

Patriot Pictures is set to commence production in Mexico City on Thursday (October 29) under Covid protocols in line with Screen Actors Guild guidelines.

Sam Macaroni directs from a screenplay by Van B. Nguyen about an undercover DEA agent who awakens in a Mexican mental institution with memory loss and soon remembers who he is as several cartels come looking for him.

Union Patriot Capital Management is fully financing the film.

“Jackass” star Steve-o had a team duct-tape him to a Los Angeles billboard — prompting a respond by the Los Angeles Fire Department — on Thursday.

The stunt was an advertisement for his new comedy special, “Gnarly,” currently available to stream on his website. He posted about it on Instagram, publishing a selfie from his vantage point and expressing the safety precautions he took to ensure no city resources would be expended in efforts to help him off the sign.

“I’m attached to a billboard right now (swipe to see the whole thing) and want to emphasize that a team of real professionals rigged everything safely,” he wrote. “There is zero chance of me falling, and it’s important to me that we not waste any valuable city resources on this.”

Reading has been in situ for a few months now after leaving his post at Fullscreen Media, where he worked with talent including actors and social media influencers. At TheMachine, he will drive the company’s growth into repping on-screen talent.

Making and distributing web series back in 2001 wasn't anywhere nearly as simple as today's creators have it—this was 4 years before YouTube popped up and streaming video over the internet was neither easy or cheap. But that didn't stop young actor-writers Sam Maccarone and Dian Bachar from showing off their skills to anyone who would watch it—online. By 2001, the pair had launched their second original web series Roommates: The Series after a successful start with their 1999 comedy series Captain Jackson, which netted them a healthy dose of press coverage and paid gigs. Now nine years later, after moving on to film and TV projects, the duo are returning to the internet and bringing back both series with new episodes starting February 15th. CANNES -- Ckrush Entertainment, a subsidiary of Ckrush Inc., has joined forces with National Lampoon Inc. for the new comedy National Lampoon's TV: The Movie. The project -- developed by Ckrush and National Lampoon, produced by Ckrush and internationally distributed by recently formed Ckrush Distribution -- features several of the famed members of the Jackass crew, including Steve-O, Wee Man and Preston Lacy in a spoof about the increasing depravity of television in society. Sam Maccarone is writing and directing. Ckrush Distribution also is handling foreign sales for two other Lampoon titles, Totally Baked and Jake's Booty Call.

Simon Rex is headed back to class. The actor has booked a role in the William Heins-directed comedy National Lampoon's Pledge This! opposite Paris Hilton. The heiress-turned-reality TV star/actress is toplining the project, playing the president of an elitist sorority at South Beach University who presides over a group of unlikely freshman girls vying to gain entrance and acceptance into her sorority. Rex will play Derek, a senior frat guy who has his hands full juggling his girlfriend (Hilton), partying and academics.
