Anne with an E was definitely one of the best shows on Netflix. Even though the period drama was canceled in 2019 after three seasons, us fans still think about it and are upset it did not continue and get a proper ending. If you're like me and miss Anne with an E, then you might be looking for something to fill that void. Well, we've got some recs for you!
The Artful Dodger
Stream on Hulu and Disney+
Even though The Artful Dodger has a male lead, that doesn't mean there aren't similarities between the titular character, aka Jack Dawkins, and Anne. Plus, the story serves as a sequel to the events in Charles Dickens' famous novel Oliver Twist, and features a strong female lead, Lady Belle Fox, played by Maia Mitchell. And spoiler alert, there's a romance that brews between Jack and Belle that you will ship just like Anne and Gilbert.

Hopefully, those May flowers will start blooming soon after the many April (and previous months’) showers. But whatever the weather, Netflix has a solid selection of new movies to watch this month.
Netflix’s May lineup has several bright and joyful animated films as well as more serious stories with light at the end of the tunnel. Tom Hanks’ latest theatrical release “A Man Called Otto” arrives on the streaming service, adapted from Frederick Backman’s book “A Man Called Ove” and following the story of a grumpy old man who struggles to find purpose in life after the death of his wife.
Animated adventures for the whole family include “The Croods” and “The Tale of Desperaux” which teach lessons of bravery in their own ways. For those in the mood for slightly quirkier stories, Jason Moore’s “Pitch Perfect” and “Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events” should do the trick.

But kids’ TV is undeniably formative: the best shows really stay with us, fondly in our memories, all the way through to adulthood. The best of the best are even still fun to watch as grownups.
Whether you’re looking for a nostalgia hit, some quality family viewing or a bit of headphones-and-bowl-of-sliced-apple alone time for your youngest, we’ve collected up 50 top children’s TV shows from across the UK’s major streaming platforms. It's that time of the month when you're about to find out which movies and television shows you've had stockpiled in your watchlist are about to expire. No worries. It happens to the best of us. We live in an era where there's way too much to watch that some will inevitably slip through the cracks. But if you were hoping to catch a few of them before they're gone or off to a different streaming service, then it's not too late!
Everything I have listed here won't be leaving Netflix until the start of November, with some leaving right as the post-Halloween period begins. An interesting thing to note is the disappearance of some Netflix Originals such as the series "The Yard," which seems to be an ongoing trend, as /Film's Erin Brady has reported.
The one, however, that caught my eye was "If Anything Happens I Love You,...

For kids who grew up in the '90s, there was no bigger star in the world than Jim Carrey. Bursting onto our radar as the larger-than-life pet detective Ace Ventura in 1994, Carrey launched full pelt into a string of movies that not only pushed his early career into overdrive but forever cemented his status as a bona fide comedy megastar.
Just a few years after he first landed on the big screen, Carrey was already making headlines for becoming the highest-paid movie star in the world, earning a whopping 20 million salary for his role in Ben Stiller's troubled black comedy "The Cable Guy." Over the next three decades, the Ontario-born comic has churned out a range of hilarious — and often unexpected — hits that his die-had fanbase has devoured with glee. He's covered a lot of ground too. Throughout his lengthy IMDb resume, Carrey's played everything from a blissfully...

Suit up, it's time to discuss everyone's favorite self-proclaimed lady's man. The antics of Barney Stinson may not have aged particularly well here in 2022, but the "How I Met Your Mother" character somehow remains just as beloved today as he was when the show was on the air. There is one reason for that and his name is Neil Patrick Harris. This is not to say series creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas and their team didn't do an amazing job writing these characters, because they definitely did. However, the show's resident lothario wouldn't have been nearly as lovable if Harris hadn't imbued him with so much heart. Barney does one despicable thing after another, and yet the audience continues to root for him. Harris' performance brought so much depth to a character that could've very easily been little more than a caricature.
Sure, it's true that "How I Met...
