Hulu will exclusively premiere The Killing Kind on Tuesday, May 14. The series is a six-episode adaptation of the thriller novel by acclaimed author Jane Casey.
Nobody understands the dark gap between justice and the law better than Ingrid Lewis. As a successful lawyer, Ingrid is used to dealing with tricky clients, but no one rivals John Webster.
Charming, good-looking, successful, and clever. Webster was accused of coercive control by an ex-girlfriend, and in court, Ingrid successfully defended him, winning the case.
Following the trial, Ingrid got close to Webster, too close, and when she tried to exit the relationship, he turned on her, and her world imploded. Now, just when she is rebuilding her life, he suddenly reappears and tells her that someone is out to kill her and only he can protect her.

1997 film The Full Monty is remembered for two things: being an unexpectedly massive hit, and its final shot of six naked bums frozen mid-sway to Tom Jones’ “You Can Leave Your Hat On”. Over time, its story about a group of unemployed Sheffield men making themselves a bit of cash and even more notoriety by stripping on stage for one night only has been boiled down to box-office and bare bottoms. So much so that when this 26-years-later sequel was first announced, there was a lot of the same reaction: wouldn’t that lot be in their sixties by now? Who’d want to see them in a thong?
You don’t see anybody in a thong in The Full Monty TV series, which doesn’t even call back to that infamous sold-out night at the Millthorpe Working Men’s Club until episode six of eight. For want of a less troubling mental image,...

When a stranger pressures them to do the dance again for the first time in 26 years,...

Remember "The Full Monty," friends? The British comedy from director Peter Cattaneo and "Slumdog Millionaire" writer Simon Beaufoy earned critical acclaim across the board for its funny and charming story about six unemployed men, including four former steel workers, who decide to form a male striptease act in order to get through some tough times. The film went on to land Academy Award nominations for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Original Musical or Comedy Score, even though it only won the latter.
Now, "The Full Monty" will have a chance at winning a whole new slate of awards because it's getting a sequel TV series at FX (on Hulu) with original cast members Robert Carlyle, Mark Addy, Lesley Sharp, Hugo Speer, Paul Barber, Steve Huison, Wim Snape, and Tom Wilkinson all reprising their roles from the movie. It's been 25 years since they bared it all, so...

We’re getting a first look at FX’s The Full Monty, the eight-part follow-up to the BAFTA-winning movie. FX has released some of the first images from the series that will premiere in June (date Tba) and stream exclusively in the U.S. on Hulu.
Set 25 years after the film, the eight-episode series will follow the same band of brothers as they navigate the post-industrial city of Sheffield and society’s crumbling healthcare, education, and employment sectors. The comedy-drama will uncover what happened to the gang after they put their kit back on, exploring their brighter, sillier and more desperate moments. It will also highlight how the fiercely funny world of these working-class heroes – still residing in Sheffield – has changed in the intervening decades.
The original movie’s screenwriter Simon Beaufoy (Slumdog Millionaire) returns, along with co-writer Alice Nutter (Accused), and Uberto Pasolini (Nowhere Special) also coming back as executive producer.

Title: Cheerful Weather for the Wedding Director: Donald Rice Starring: Felicity Jones, Luke Treadaway, Elizabeth McGovern, Mackenzie Crook, Fenella Woolgar, Zoë Tapper, Julian Wadham, Sophie Stanton, Ellie Kendrick, Olly Alexander, James Norton A very mannered but deadly dull period piece drama of partially upended, stuffy social customs in which things like, “Dolly, dearest Dolly!” are earnestly exclaimed, “Cheerful Weather for the Wedding” is a ruinous vehicle for the incandescence of Felicity Jones. What could on the surface be something lively and spry, a la Oliver Wilde, is instead neither a spirited tale of romantic competition nor a hand-wringing story of fated love. It just lays there, at once familiar and [ Read More ]

EastEnders' Phil Mitchell looks to have made another big mistake next week as he pushes his troubled son Ben too far. As reported last week, Ben will soon be brought into the police station for questioning by Dci Marsden (Sophie Stanton) - who has re-opened the investigation into Stella Crawford's death in a bid to bring down Phil once and for all. A nervous Ben (Joshua Pascoe) doesn't give Dci Marsden any new information when she asks him what he knows about Stella's 2007 suicide. Despite this, Marsden is reluctant to give up and asks Ben to call her if he remembers anything else - as she's particularly keen to know whether Phil has ever revealed what he said to Stella before she jumped. Later, more trouble brews at the Mitchell household when Phil offers Jay a ticket to a boxing match and not Ben - making him feel left out.

Reports in All About Soap and Soaplife reveal that Phil Mitchell's old nemesis Dci Marsden (Sophie Stanton) will soon re-open the investigation into Stella's fate - determined to get the Albert Square hardman behind bars once and for all. Detectives have criticised BBC soap EastEnders for the way police were portrayed in the recent 'Who Killed Archie?' storyline. Over the past few weeks, the show's fans have seen Dci Jill Marsden (Sophie Stanton) and DC Wayne Hughes (Jamie Treacher) chatting to locals while investigating the murder case. Meanwhile, Hughes was also seen accepting a bribe from Jack Branning (Scott Maslen). Real-life detectives have now claimed that the scenes were "damaging" to their profession and "irritatingly inaccurate", The Daily Telegraph reports. Alan Kalbfell, a Detective Inspector with the City of London Police who speaks on behalf of the National Detectives Forum, commented: "It is frustrating to see our trade portrayed in such a bad manner. "EastEnders is watched by a broad range of people, from young to old, and they (more)...
