Became the new voice of Lupin the 3rd, after Yamada Yasuo(original
voice actor) died on March 19, 1995.
He has voiced Lupin III longer than any other voice actor. As of May 2024, he has beaten the late Roberto del Giudice's record of 28 years.
The only one of Lupin III's voice actors to have not been involved with the Japanese dubs of the Monty Python franchise. Taichiro Hirokawa dubbed Eric Idle, Yasuo Yamada was Graham Chapman and Toshio Furukawa was Terry Gilliam.
