- He got in touch with the film business in Berlin in 1914 and he made his film debut with "Wollen Sie meine Tochter heiraten?" (1914). He soon became a demanded movie actor and he impersonated different roles in numerous movies in the next years.

- The actor Guido Herzfeld belonged to the busy actors of the German silent movie era and he took part in some important film productions.

- He came to Berlin in 1902 where he became established as a stage actor and director as well.
- "Die Finanzen des Großherzogs" was his last movie and released after his death.
- In 1899 he directed a play for the first time.
