Operation Blood Hunt is the film we wanted after Dog Soldiers showed us all that werewolves and soldiers could be a great combination. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much in the way of followup at the time, the promised sequel never happened and anyone who saw Werewolves of the Third Reich would probably rather forget it. So we’ve had to wait until now for Brandon Slagle to take the standard war movie plot of an odd assortment of fighters sent on a mission behind enemy lines and some werewolves to serve as the villains. And when it works, Operation Blood Hunt is a lot of fun, unfortunately, it doesn’t always work.

They uncover a deadly secret: werewolves. Now, they must outwit and outfight the supernatural to survive. Welcome to Operation Blood Hunt. This action-packed thriller stars Quinton "Rampage" Jackson (remember him in The A-Team?), Louis Mandylor, Sonia Couling, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Peter Dobson, Bear Williams, Gary Cairns, and Myles Clohessy. In Norman Taurog's 1963 film "It Happened at the World's Fair," Elvis Presley plays a crop-duster pilot named Mike whose crop-dusting plane was just repossessed by the local sheriff. While hitchhiking home, wondering how he'll get the money to buy back his plane, Mike comes upon the Seattle World's Fair. There, he instantly becomes smitten with a local nurse named Diane Warren (not to be confused with songwriter Diane Warren) played by Joan O'Brien.

To manufacture a reason to see the Fair's nurse, Mike pulls an 11-year-old boy out of the crowd and offers to pay the kid a quarter in exchange for a really, really hard kick to the shin. The kid is thrilled to have the money and dutifully thwacks the stranger. As Mike limps away, the kid mutters to himself "Adults. They're all nuts." The unnamed character was played by an uncredited Kurt Russell making his feature film debut.

"Clear the base. Hold the perimeter – at all costs." Saban Films has unveiled the official trailer for a WWII action movie called 3 Days in Malay, directed by the Australian action star Louis Mandylor. Another of these unoriginal action movies being churned out by the dozen. Mandylor has been starring in films made by director Brandon Slagle recently, though this time Slagle wrote the screenplay and let Mandylor direct. A small group must defend an airfield for three days against the Japanese assault during the fight for Malay in World War II. Mandylor with Cowboy Cerrone, Peter Dobson, Ryan Francis, Randall J. Bacon, and Quinton Rampage Jackson star in the WWII action film, out to watch starting in August. It's inspired by a true story, based on the actual Malayan campaign in 1941-1942 where Allied forces tried to defend Malaya from Japanese forces. This looks brutal and intense, and remarkably generic and uninteresting.

One of the reasons "Forrest Gump" is a cherished movie is because of the way it lightheartedly traverses decades of key moments in U.S. history and popular culture through the eyes of an altruistic titular protagonist, Forrest Gump (Tom Hanks) -- inspired by a couple of real-life blokes. In the eyes of the film, even one simple person can make a big impact on the world around them. The film cleverly blends these events with a fictional narrative to show the significance of Forrest's actions.

In "Forrest Gump," during Alabama Governor George Wallace's 1963 "Stand in the Schoolhouse Door" event where he protested the de-segregation of schools, Forrest curiously watches from the crowd and then helps African-American student Vivian Malone when she drops her books on her way into the school.

Later, during an appearance alongside John Lennon on "The Dick Cavett Show," Forrest inspires the lyrics to Lennon's best-selling single "Imagine.

Indie distributer Global Digital Releasing has teamed up with Kevin Interdonato’s Rock n’ Tape Films to release the action-packed crime thriller Dirty Dead Con Men, available on Digital platforms, for the first time now.

Marie-Grete Heinemann's throwback to the fast-talking crime films of Roderiguez and Tarantino stars Peter Dobson, Kevin Interdonato, Claudia Christian, Louis Mandylor and Kristen Dalton. The script was also co-written by Interdonato.

While there was only one Elvis Presley, a whole cottage industry revolves around impersonating the star. And it's not just made up of the Las Vegas street impersonators, either; plenty of TV shows and films have depictions of the late rocker. Now, Bana, best known for his work in films such as "Hulk" and "Munich," will take on Presley's late career rhinestones in actor Cary Elwes directorial debut.

Variety reports that Bana will play Elvis in "Elvis & Nixon," which will be based on the bizarre-but-true story of the time Presley met with President Nixon in hopes of becoming a Federal Agent-at-Large in the Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs. As for Nixon, the former President will be played by Danny Huston.

Judy Moody And The Not Bummer Summer

It should always be counted a massive tragedy that Michael J Fox was robbed of the opportunity to make more films by his health, because he made some of the best family films of his generation, in the Back to the Future Trilogy, as well as other classics like Teen Wolf, The Secret of My Suce$s and Doc Hollywood. Okay, so not everything he touched was gold, but the actor who rescued Marty McFly from the evils of being ginger and unfunny (from Eric Stoltz of course) has such an easy charisma that even now when he appears in cameos and brief guest runs on TV (where his career trajectory has found comfort since 1996 and Spin City) it’s hard not to love him.

And just before he stopped making movies (aside from voice work for Stuart Little and Atlantis) the same year that Spin City arrived on the small screen,...
