Lesley Conroy is an IFTA nominated Irish actor and award winning writer.
Best known for her portrayal of Ian Huntley's mother in Netflix show 'Maxine'.
She has worked with Merman on 'Bad Sisters' and 'Women on the Verge'.Lesley's previous screen work includes 'The Miracle Club' playing opposite Maggie Smith, Laura Linney and Kathy Bates, 'The Cured' with Elliot Page, 'Life's a Breeze' with Fionnula Flanagan and she played Aoife in the popular RTÉ soap Fair City (2017-2019).
Lesley is fluent in the Irish language and is an experienced stage actress and voice over artist having regularly voiced radio dramas and campaigns for multinational clients for radio and TV. Classically trained as an actor in Trinity College Dublin, Lesley holds a post-graduate degree in Acting studies and has recently completed further screen training with Benjamin Mathes at the Helena Walsh acting studio.
As a new voice writing for Irish stage and screen, she was the Scripts Ireland competition winner in 2020 for her monologue 'Cleaner' which she adapted for the screen under Screen Ireland/Bow Street academy's Actor as Creator award. It has screened internationally and won Best Cork Short at the 66th Cork International Film Festival and Best International short at Nottingham Film Festival. She has just completed an Advanced Development course with Emmanuel Oberg.
