Not to be confused with the 2013 film of the same name, which was pulled from Tesco shelves after customer complaints over its graphic sex and violence, this iteration of The Hospital is actually a retitling of 2015′s The Linda Vista Project from director John (J.J.) Rogers – who has worked behind the scenes on numerous Dtv horror flicks previously, however this marks his directorial debut in the genre.

[Sidenote: The Hospital was also touted as a possible supermarket-friendly title for the UK release of Dustin Mills' The Ballad of Skinless Pete, at least until the UK distributor, now a favourite with genre fans, reneged on the contract and the film never saw the light of day]

A new B-movie zombie film, slash vampire film, is being released by Phase 4 Films May 1st on DVD called The Dead Undead. The film stars Luke Goss as Jack a leader of a group of commandos. They are trying to eradicate a disease that turns vampires into the undead? The plot seems slightly confusing, but this is essentially vampires vs. zombies. In the trailer below, there is lots of gunfire as Jack holds back the hordes of the undead. The awkward pauses in the clip dampens the affect. However, there are lots of zombie film fans out there, so give the reel a look inside.

Okay then. And the award for worst title of Afm goes to ... The Dead Undead. We hope this moniker makes sense in the context of the flick because it doesn't make much sense otherwise. Read on for art and details.

Synopsis

For decades a group of vampires have been living peacefully in a small, remote town feeding on animal blood. All is well until several vampires become infected by diseased blood. The infected become crazed, vicious killing machines called "Zv’s", or "zombie vampires". With an insatiable thirst for flesh and blood, they slaughter or infect anyone they come in contact with, human or vampire. Led by Jack (Luke Goss), a small team of highly trained vampire soldiers from throughout the ages set out to find and destroy the Zv’s before the infection...

This article is for all the b-movie zombie fans out there, who are waiting for something to sink their teeth into. The Dead Undead brings zombie vampires to video-on-demand July 1st, through Phase 4 films. This is a title that has been called silly and audacious (Ballistic), so keep your expectations low while remaining optimistic. The Dead Undead is from first time director and stunt coordinator Matthew R. Anderson and actor Edward Conna; there will be explosions! Luke Goss stars and this title was completed in 2010. So, prepare for a vampire war with the undead in just a few weeks.

In an event described as "a B-movie jamboree of awesomeness", the Polly Staffle Grindhouse Fest - informally known as the Pollygrind - launches this Wednesday until May 16 at the Sci-Fi Center (2520 State Street) in Las Vegas.

Thirteen films and more than 31 trailers, music videos and shorts will play the PollyGrind, described by Vampires.com as "one of the biggest events for grindhouse and trash film lovers this year."

Organiser Chad Clinton Freeman said: "The festival is being put on in the same spirit as old-school grindhouse cinema - no funding and creatively using whatever is available.

"With that said, I think the line-up turned out rather nicely and I think everyone that comes out will enjoy what William Powell's Sci-Fi Center and the PollyGrind have to offer."

From May 12-16th Sci-Fi Center at 2520 State Street, Las Vegas, Nv 89109, will be hosting The Polly Staffle Grindhouse Fest (aka PollyGrind), which includes 30 different films with five world premieres, seven Las Vegas premieres, and one U.S. premiere. There will also be a ton of music videos and trailers and more horror-related goods for you to feast your eyes on.
