Several General Hospital characters have needed Steven Webber to come back to Port Charles. Last seen in 2013, Memphis police arrested Steven and sent him to prison in Tennessee for killing a comatose prisoner so their heart could save a little girl’s life. Recently, his sister Elizabeth mentioned that he’d been released from prison, and now Reeves is finally reprising his fan-favorite role.
Returning Was Bittersweet
Reeves is finally returning to Port Charles and spoke to TV Insider about what he was feeling upon arrival. “I’ve been doing other things, but this was like putting on a really, really comfortable pair of jeans,” he stated. He found his reprisal to be “bittersweet” because of all the life changes everyone has gone through since he was last on the show, including himself. Plus, the fact that several people related to the show including Sonya Eddy (Epiphany) and Tyler Christopher (Nikolas) had passed away,...

Before Lucky and Elizabeth officially reunite this week on General Hospital, let’s take a look back at the romance that dubbed the supercouple “LL2.”
Teenage Dream
Lucky (Jonathan Jackson) and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) first met outside Kelly’s Diner (now known as Bobbie’s) in 1997. It was love at first sight for Elizabeth, but Lucky was more drawn to her sister, Sarah (ex-Jennifer Sky). It wasn’t until the following Valentine’s Day when Elizabeth was attacked and Lucky found her, forever securing their bond.
A romantic dance in the park and a guitar serenade later, LL2 was born, and often double dated alongside the other half of “The Four Musketeers,” Nikolas (ex-Tyler Christopher) and Emily (ex-Amber Tamblyn). By Valentine’s Day 1999, the couple were exchanging vows in a church as an act of commitment to each other.

Adam Huss had some big shoes to fill when he took over the role of Nikolas Cassadine on General Hospital. Before him, Marcus Coloma played the Cassadine scion, and even before him was Tyler Christopher, who originated the part. Much like the previous actors, Huss has won the viewers over and opened up about Christopher’s inspiration.

Tyler Christopher originated the role of Nikolas Cassadine on General Hospital in 1996. It was one of his first acting roles, but he fit the character perfectly, and fans loved him. He played the role off and on until he left the show for good in 2016. Several other actors played Nikolas when Tyler Christopher was off the show. The actor went on to join Days Of Our Lives in 2017 as Stefan Dimera but abruptly left two years later.
Gh fans hoped the actor would return as Nikolas but he never did. Tyler Christopher sadly passed away in October 2023 at the age of 50. His official cause of death was positional asphyxia due to acute alcohol intoxication. The actor battled alcohol addiction for years before his death.

The 75th Primetime Emmy Awards may be over, but complaining about the Emmy Awards is only just beginning.
It’s not uncommon for awards ceremonies’ In Memoriam segments, which honor deceased members of the industry, to tick off viewers. Such as how this year’s Oscars ceremony controversially lumped together a bunch of illegible names in the final moments of the In Memoriam, and also featured a “distracting” interpretive dance number.
Last night’s Emmys’ In Memoriam paid homage to late TV stars like Bob Newhart, Richard Simmons and Shannen Doherty, but it also omitted some major names. Some were confused as to why Matthew Perry didn’t appear, forgetting that this was actually the second Emmy ceremony of the year. Perry was honored during the delayed 74th Emmys, which aired back in January.
But the Emmys are now taking heat for leaving out some notable figures, including Erica Ash,...

The “In Memoriam” segment of the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday paid tribute to a host of small-screen stars who have died in the past year, but users on social media were quick to point out the notable names that did not make the montage.
The poignant segment saw rapper Jelly Roll say a few words before performing his 2024 song “I Am Not Okay” as a montage of late stars was shown inside the Peacock Theater and on television. Among those included in the segment were Donald Sutherland, James Earl Jones, Martin Mull, Richard Lewis, Richard Simmons, Shannen Doherty, Gena Rowlands, Chance Perdomo and Carl Weathers.
There was general confusion online in some quarters due to the omission of Friends star Matthew Perry, who died Oct. 28, 2023 at 54. Perry’s absence was explained by the Television Academy paying a special tribute to the actor at the 74th edition of the Emmys held in January,...

Lucky Spencer has certainly lived up to his name over the years on General Hospital. Lucky, the offspring of the legendary Luke and Laura, wasn’t born on screen, but we saw him when the dynamic couple returned to the show in 1993. The character originated by Jonathan Jackson, who grew up before us. Jacob Young later portrayed him from 2000 to 2003, and then by Greg Vaughan from 2003 to 2009. With Jackson’s return to Gh, it’s time we looked at what Lucky was up to over the years.
Childhood on the Run
Luke (Anthony Geary) and Laura (Genie Francis) had been on the run from evil mobster Frank Smith (then Mitchell Ryan), during which time they had Lucky. After Frank’s goons caught up to them in Canada, the couple sent their son off to Port Charles for safety while they lured the minions off of his trail. Luke’s aunt...

With the impending recast of Lulu on General Hospital, it seems only natural that there would be complications. Sure enough, on the August 20 episode, it was revealed that her liver is failing. Liver transplants are commonplace, and considering Jonathan Jackson is returning as her brother, Lucky, he might be able to donate part of his liver to save her life. However, that’s most likely not the case, and her other brother may have to come to the rescue.
Could History Repeat Itself?
When Lulu was a little kid, she was diagnosed with aplastic anemia, which required a bone marrow transplant. Lucky (Jonathan Jackson) was not a viable match, so from out of the woodwork came their unknown other sibling, Nikolas (then Tyler Christopher), the long-lost son of their mother, Laura (Genie Francis). His arrival in town saved Lulu’s life, but his existence tore Luke (Anthony Geary) and Laura apart.

Tyler Christopher was a beloved soap actor who battled his share of demons.
He played the eldest son of Laura (Genie Francis), Nikolas Cassadine, for over 1,000 episodes on the ABC soap General Hospital.
After leaving Gh, he appeared on Days of our Lives as Stefan Dimera, but that didn’t last long before he was replaced with former Gh co-star Brandon Barash.
Alcohol was an issue Tyler battled for years. He had been open about his struggles and what they cost him while talking to his former Gh co-star, Maurice Benard, on his podcast, State of Mind.
Despite his attempts to get clean, he didn’t keep his sobriety long. His drinking led to troubles with the law and, unfortunately, contributed to his passing.
Tyler was just 50 at the time of his death.

Not everyone knows this, but Jason Alexander and Robert Redford have a lot in common. They are both actors, for example. They have both won a lot of awards for acting, just none of the same awards. They were both born in the United States of America. They both directed the 1993 movie "Quiz Show." Oh, wait, no they didn't. That was just Redford, never mind.
Okay, so maybe Jason Alexander and Robert Redford don't have a whole lot in common. But there is one unusual bit of trivia that connects. They both played completely against type as the Grim Reaper in an excellent episode of "The Twilight Zone," and they both knocked it out of the park.
