Tzvetan Alexiev was born on January 5, 1972 in Varna, Bulgaria. He graduated acting in the class of Professor Margarita Mladenova , Professor Ivan Dobchev and Professor Georgi Djulgerov in National Academy for Theatre and Film Art, Sofia, Bulgaria in 1994. He worked as a freelance actor until 2010. Then he entered the troupe of the National Theatre. He debuted in the role of Skoronkolo in "Lorentsacho" by Musset. Among his the theatrical roles are: Salyoniy in "Three Sisters" by Chekhov; Smerdyakov in "The Brothers Karamazov" by Dostoevsky; Bandmaster in "Woyzeck" by Buchner; Guncho Mitin in "Albena" and Paul in "Boriana" by Yordan Yovkov; Sped in "Trainspotting" by Welsh and others. He is award winner of "Asker"for Best Supporting Actor in 2008 for Salyoniy in "Three Sisters" by Chekhov, directed by Krikor Azaryan, in Youth Theatre "Nikolay Binev". His cinema debut was in the film "The Black Swallow", directed by Georgi Djulgerov. In movies he has worked mostly with the young generation's directors.
