Billy Ray Cyrus‘ ex-wife, Firerose, alleged the singer made her feel like a “prisoner” during their marriage.

During an interview with Page Six, Firerose, 36, accused Cyrus, 62, of being an “evil man” and said she was a victim of domestic abuse throughout their two years together.

The “Achy Breaky Heart” singer previously claimed that Firerose “physically, emotionally and verbally abused him.” She has now attempted to change the narrative by explaining Cyrus’ attempt to control her life by implementing “rules” to follow.

Billy Ray Cyrus has been in the headlines following his ex-wife Firerose’s abuse allegations against him. In a new legal document filed on June 24 in Tennessee, Cyrus claims that he was “physically,” verbally, and emotionally abused by his ex.

The documents read, “While the Plaintiff would acknowledge that he was certainly vocal, frustrated and angry with the Defendant in May 2024, it is the plaintiff who, in fact, has been abused. Not only verbally and emotionally by the Defendant, but Physically abused by Defendant.”

Furthermore, Cyrus denied the “mind boggling” allegations against him that he was abusive towards Firerose. In an affidavit, Cyrus’ manager, Scott Adkins alleged that he witnessed the claims reported by the Achy Breaky Heart hitmaker.

Firerose will not be leaving quietly. After seven months of marriage, Billy Ray Cyrus filed for divorce from Firerose in May, citing “irreconcilable differences” and “inappropriate marital conduct.” He also said that his “consent to marriage was obtained by fraud.”

The 36-year-old is currently claiming that during her marriage with Billy Ray, he was “unpredictable and volatile.”__per Court documents obtained by People on June 14. The document written by Firerose’s attorneys claimed she “was the victim of extreme verbal, emotional, and psychological abuse.”
