- Set during Christmas Eve in 1944, the film follows the story of Pintér and Gozsó, who manage to get through the Soviet blockade around Budapest. Pintér seeks refuge in a flat he believed was abandoned by his relatives, only to discover that the Turnovszkys are hiding there, along with a Jewish woman named Jutka. As the narrative unfolds, a love story develops between Zoltán and Jutka amidst the backdrop of war-torn Budapest.
