Paris Funeral, 1972

Paris Funeral, 1972

quite a generous movie with a very keen eye. look, its a debut; subtext comes off as text, largely due to its aspirations for authenticity through improvisation. but its gentle in the right ways, even if it can be to a fault. personal, environmental and formal erosion. relationships and scenes fade in and out of each other as a consequence of capital m Man’s actions. you’d like to think falling outs aren’t the end of the world, but this movie doesn’t let you forget about the end. its nice, it works !
