Honcho Chalko’s review published on Letterboxd:
This was a pretty solid civil war epoch. While the first 25 minute's, I was like "This is gonna flow like Molasses", but after a couple big bangs it unraveled into a great 19th century tale of love, resilience, isolation and the powers of making your own family. Continuously new characters and actors I love entered the fray and was a great, albeit long watch (Major Shout-out to Reneé & Natalie Portman). Could have gone well with some hard cider, but glad I perservered!
