Snatch

Snatch

Guy Ritchie's style of filmmaking is outlandish, rough, cocky, and borderline excessive, just like the array of characters he illustrates. But Snatch is a peculiarly hilarious and shrewdly-assembled piece of gratifying, edge-of-the-seat entertainment. It takes time to familiarize oneself with the numerous characters and the winding, convoluted plot involving multiple storylines that coalesce into one. But when the viewing becomes relatively comfortable, the film is a delightful firecracker of funny circumstances and vivid character moments. The cast delivers every punchline and the sharp editing amplifies the uncontainable energy which permeates this solid crime comedy.
