Promising Young Woman 2020
incredibly messy writing, big missed opportunity to explore an untouched topic. no idea why it’s nominated for best writing as it’s structure is horrendous and it’s characters are caricatures (i thought hollywood moved past the useless best friend trope 10 years ago). very gimmicky and shot like a student film.
