Dante’s review published on Letterboxd:
ground zero for basically all cinema since - there are huge chunks of summer of 2021 that are basically just totally blank in my memory so functionally this was like seeing this for the first time. and it’s a little surreal to see in a theatre because it’s not only watching a great movie but also just seeing so much of both film theory and psychoanalysis and all sorts of things just flash before your eyes. the one thing i do remember from when i first watched this was just being utterly transfixed by the romance between Novak and Stewart and i still stand by that - has got to be one of cinema’s most profoundly beautiful and tragic romances.
