    Never has a movie less needed to be a musical. Barbara Streisand is the only one that sings & most of the time as an inner monologue. And the movie works just great without it as a fascinating exploration between religion & gender with good performances & crackling cinematography

    It's my favorite Muppet movie. It's the first one I ever saw & it's the one that emotionally resonates with me. I know all the songs by heart & Tim Curry gives the best performance in a Muppet movie that's not by a Muppet. They should've made more adaptations of books by Muppets
