I Am Cuba 1964
I had the privilege of viewing this movie in its 4k restoration on a big screen at TIFF and it is the sickest film I have ever seen, yet. There are no other motion pictures that I can say have walked me through all kinds of emotions in one sitting. My favourite of all time. Also features the greatest song ever made Loco Amor.

Point Break 1991
Bigger than life movie, at least when I first watched it at 7 years old. Changed my life. Not the greatest acting or script rewatching it in my mid 20's but it's an action classic.

Speed 1994
The movie that did it all for me as a kid. Got me into toy guns, especially the MP5. Sparked the love I have for action movies and suspenseful sequences. That mid 1990's SWAT aesthetic is perfect. I cannot give this movie an unbiased review cause I enjoy the shit out of it every single time. Aged quite well too.

Mulholland Drive 2001
Only watched this film once and I wish I never watched it so that I can experience it again for the first time. I've postponed understanding it but I really enjoyed the ride.

Harsh Times 2005
Basically my life on crack. Think I would of preferred a different conclusion. Lots of funny moments. Brilliant performance by Christian Bale.

Incendies 2010
Watched this movie for the first time in class in 12th grade and loved every minute of it especially the ending. Seeing everyone's reaction in class was like experiencing it in a movie theatre. I think everyone was invested in the movie and it definitely left a mark. This is the film that got me to pay attention to Denis Villeneuve. I also remember when it first came out in 2010 all the Lebanese folks in Montreal flocking to go see it. I was too young and ignorant to care and saw it many years later and thought to myself, why haven't I watched this earlier?!

Holy Motors 2012
My only regret is not seeing this movie in theatres. I'm also more likely to learn the accordion now.
