“The Purple Rose of Cairo” is a charming, smart, and funny tale about the escapist power of cinema. Mia Farrow is a sweetheart, Jeff Daniels´ double role is very entertaining, the writing is clever, creative, and heartfelt, the whole vibe of the movie is endearing, and the ending is bittersweet. A little gem for cinephiles.
