Thomas’s review published on Letterboxd:
“Natural Born Killers” is a complete sensory overload. Direction, camerawork, and editing are all over the place and the visual style is so over the top and cartoonish that it becomes exhausting. It wasn´t really my cup of tea. I also find the first half of the film not very interesting. The second half with the prison break is a lot of fun, though. The satire and social commentary are neither subtle nor clever, but the action, characters, quotes, and bloody violence are damn entertaining.
Woody Harrelson and Juliette Lewis as a “Bonnie and Clyde on crack”-like psychopathic couple are enjoyable to watch and I also like RDJ as a cynical douchebag reporter, but Tommy Lee Jones was too much for me.
“Natural Born Killers” has its moments, but overall, I think that I would have preferred Tarantino directing the movie himself.
