Well, purposely annoying characters are still annoying, which is why I had a hard time getting into this, but the cast clearly had fun playing these people, which made it a bit easier. More than a thriller this is a scathing satire on the Gen Z social media generation. It has its funny moments but I´m not sure if there is a deeper point to the satire beyond mockery. It was certainly wild to hear lingo I mainly know from reddit and this site (I don´t use Twitter) come out of the mouths of real people. Unfortunately, the whodunnit aspect didn´t work for me, since as soon as you understand what the film is going for thematically and tonally, it´s easy to figure out. Nevertheless, as a fan of steadily escalating chaos on screen, I enjoyed the last act well enough. Still, somehow, I find the idea of what happened here funnier than actually seeing it happen. And while I´m still in my 20s, this movie made me feel older than that.
