The film was shot on a Gaumont camera imported by the Belgian Henri Lepage, whom Py was working with at the 'Casa Lepage', a photographic supplies business in Buenos Aires. It was the first photographic camera equipment imported into Argentina in late 1896. The film was produced as a result of French immigrants in Buenos Aires, including Py.
