82 minutes of young Willem Dafoe greased up, dressed in black leather, brooding and smirking while riding around with his biker gang, hitting up small-town diners and gas stations and motels reeking of sex and violence. Walter Hill would obviously eventually take this exact look and vibe of 50s nostalgia poisoned with 80s neon and violence into the goddamn cosmos with his neo-noir rock musical masterpiece Streets of Fire but look I'm not gonna complain.
