The 4:30 Movie 2024
One of Kevin Smith’s better recent movies but was still disappointing. The 80’s setting and John Hughes Sentimentality I really dug. The visual style he used to make it feel like the 80’s I really liked. Since this movie is based on his life it made the story and characters more compelling. Austin Zajur, Ken Jeong, Sienna Agudong, and Genesis Rodriguez had the best performances, every other performance was a cameo or really hammy. My main issues were the overuse of 80’s pop culture references and the style of crass low brow humor he uses I didn’t like at all.
