If Damien Chazelle has no fans I am dead

Racing against time after mistrusting a huge-dicked and empty-brained booty call with their rent, Keke Palmer and SZA play a comedic and enjoyable duo trying to not get evicted or worse. While there is some social commentary, the movie is overall just all in on being goofy and fun, and the audience is really treated to a memorable buddy comedy.

Jack Quaid and Sophie Thatcher provide strong performances here in this at-times silly and at-times tense sci-fi horror thriller. It is full of twists and gore with decent pacing and fun ideas. There lives a strong metaphor regarding abusive relationships and the objectification of romantic companions here that works well but becomes a bit too on-the-nose for my liking in the finale.
