As with some great directors it takes some time for their style to finally begin to mesh with my sensibilities. This is a difficult and less accessible film but with enough narrative to drag me through the immense intricacies without feeling entirely lost. I did not get all that this film has to offer and feel like really only some of the surface level themes and points being made set it but I can say that the talent of David Lynch and respect I have for his artform will only continue to grow the more I watch him. Having been in the entertainment business for decades at this point it feels like a lot of points being made here are Lynch's approach at shining a light or rather pointing a mirror at the underbelly of the most glamourized town in Entertainment. I look forward to discussing this and trying to gain a deeper understanding as well.
