something so satisfying about Julia Roberts yelling

what an exquisite looking film, the last frame of this will be seared into my brain for quite some time to come

a compelling second half that doesn't do much to hold up the dead weight of the cringe and flimsy writing of the first half

it's really just the end credits that do it for me

it's called kal ho na ho because it never fucking ends....not that I want it to

saw the plot twist coming from a mile away but this was so much fun

somehow the storytelling devices here are gripping enough to sustain my attention, combined by some stellar performances (especially Jake Gyllenhaal) but they cannot distract me from how pretentious this film looks - inconsistent cinematography, gratuitously violent and meaningless imagery, and worst of all the dangerous allegories the narrative is trying to make about women's bodies and agency. Talk about an overreaction.

back in my day when they made silly bollywood movies they had the decency to put some good music and gags in there

I think a film like this deserved a little more atmosphere, but some stunning acting by the entire cast. Deepthi Naval deserves all the flowers.
