It seems like the consensus is that civil war is much better the second time around and i agree. It’s still pretty bloated - i watched it yesterday and am literally having trouble remembering half of what happened, but I think Marvel thought of it as a bigger deal than audiences did at the time. It has huge implications and there’s a lot that had to be fleshed out to make the big battle scene work so well. But maybe it would’ve been better to keep out Zemo and all of the Bucky stuff. Still very good!
