Had to give this a rewatch for the British Icons birthday party tomorrow 💪💪

Into the Woods 2014
Forget all the magic stuff that happened, the most unrealistic thing about this film is Emily Blunt being in a relationship with James Corden

The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou 2004
Theres sooo many things to love about this movie, but if I had to pick out just two, id have to pick:
- The set design, I loved the layout of the boat and when Steve and Ned are arguing and you see them work their way up the boat and see the majority of the rooms, I just thought it looked amazing tbh.
-The soundtrack. I mean Life on Mars, Queen Bitch (both David Bowie) and The Way I… -

Bottle Rocket 1996
I'm veryyyy 50/50 on this, which is something I didn't think I'd be considering how much I love other Wes Anderson movies, but I just feel like this was lacking something. If they lessened the Inez storyline and focused more on the bank robbery storyline I think the movie would've been much better. It's definetly enjoyable though, it has it's moments for humour and still has some of the usual Wes Anderson shots specifically in the first 10 minutes or…

Me and Earl and the Dying Girl 2015
This movie was pretty sweet for the first half, especially Greg and Earls friendship (which I would kill for by the way). The second half just felt really real (I hope that makes sense) and a littleee bit like a slap in the face, I was lied to, so fuck you Greg.

Holmes & Watson 2018
Why the hell did I put myself through this?? Even though I don’t mind him as a person, I’ve never found Will Ferrell funny. Holmes and Watson took how unfunny I find him to a whole other level

Please Stand By 2017
In the years I have been alive, I do not remember a single piece of media with an accurate portrayal or a woman/girl with autism. I thought the main character of this movie, Wendy, was a really good representation of a woman with autism. There was really great detail taken with all the collective pieces of having autism (i dont know if i worded that correctly) like with the special interest with Star Trek (part of the main plot), the…

Jeff Buckley - Grace Around The World 2009
If you were to ask anyone who knows me, I bet you any money in the world that they would tell you I am a HUGE Jeff Buckley fan. I’ve listened to him for years, and every time something of his shows up, I immediately pay attention. I really do think he was ( and is ) one of the greatest musicians this world has ever seen. He has such a powerful and angelic voice, which shows such emotion in his music, and his beautiful lyrics and great storytelling make such amazing songs. I just love Jeff Buckley !!

Aftersun 2022
I'll be completely honest, I do think this is a bit overrated. I may just have to watch it again and see if I understand it better then. I thought the second half of the film was far better than the first, which to me dragged on quite a bit with some long shots I thought were quite unnecessary. I did love the use of "Tender" by Blur, I thought it fit the scene pretty well. I also loved the shot of the developing Polaroid too.
