Halloween Ends

Halloween Ends

Well, I watched it twice now, and it doesn't get better on repeat viewings. It just doesn't work. This story would've worked if it had been its own separate movie. But for a concluding part of a trilogy, it's very slow paced and there isn't enough Myers in it.

This third part is like the third Hobbit film. It was unneeded. Both Allyson and Laurie are trying to make amends. But the majority is with this brand-new character Corey Cunningham. His debacle after babysitting and there was an accident, and the townspeople hate him for it.

He falls in love with Allyson. But as Laurie's finally getting it together, she notices some things that seem to be going down a dark road with Corey. Everything's treated as an afterthought, even at the final showdown with Myers and Strode. The characters are good. But it seems like a time waster in not best way. It's not plum awful, but for a Myers film? It's very low on the totem pole.
