i have an unwavering respect for movies that are able to story-tell so brilliantly with much realism, and this just became one of them. i was awestruck by how raw Leo’s performance was. in my opinion, not a lot of movies have the ability to explore substance addiction, and convey the anguish, pain, and despair that come with exploring that (which explains my point of the movie’s realism). the cast was magnificent, and there were some pretty nice visuals throughout the movie as well. very glad i finally got around to watching this!
