Absolutely terrible script, to the point where I'm not sure how even the most defensive modern-day superhero film fan could stomach any of it. There is nothing to any one character other than the constant expository notes that it tries to throw at you left, right, and centre. It's so sterile—it's as if the actors are doing their very first read. The editing is simply bad, the visuals are atrocious, and the entire film highlights the extreme state of modern blockbuster filmmaking. There's nothing to this at all. I'd even go so far as to argue that the marketing for this has been completely misleading about its superhero status, given that it isn't even really a superhero film. It's so boring, so dull, and I'm quite sure I fell asleep several times only to wake up to the guy next to me stabbing himself in the eyes with the straws he had been using for his Diet Coke—probably had the better experience of the two of us, now that I think about it. One thing I can say is that there are some unintentionally funny moments, so that's one thing it has going for it.
