Simply one of the most preposterous ideas ever envisioned, but I wouldn't alter a fucking frame. untamed, hallucinatory magnificence—horribly tragic and eternally unflinching—ranks among the best work ever made, not just by David Lynch but by anybody. Silly silly good.
