Civil War. Divisive would be an understatement when describing people's thoughts about “A24s first blockbuster”. I know people who love it, a lot of people who hated it too, and this got me excited. To the days, hours, and minutes leading up to my viewing I kept thinking to myself, “what side would I be on?”. A movie that from the outside looked so politically charged I was certain that I would end up on one side or the other,…

Architecture has always been a part of my life (son of an architect). When he said that his creations will still stand, it reminded me of when my dad said those exact words. The “American Dream” is a nightmare ready to tear you down at any possible opportunity, but what we make stays.

Ok had some more thoughts about the movie so there might be some very mild spoilers here but I’ve been hung up on that opening scene (it’s…

Really exhausted by the conversation on the ride back. A movie which doesn’t treat anything with care. All the wrong people thinking they’re saying the right things. Worst of all it’s just a boring movie.

I feel like Rushmore holds a different place…

The movies are back, I wish I was joking. So much fun. Too much fun almost. Does the funniest possible thing at every turn. Fully leans into the gay buddy cop angle. A better tribute to 2000s marvel movies then D&W will ever be. The last scene of this movie was, I’m not joking, the funniest thing I’ve ever seen in a theater.

Here’s to the ones that we got.
