Beyond unsettling and deeply disturbing, The Killing of a Sacred Deer evoked such a reaction from me I was genuinely wincing for the good majority of its runtime.
At first I found the wooden performances to be quite off-putting but when the film really dived into the meat of the story, I found it worked with how the characters were presented. The score and camerawork were major highlights with them enhancing my investment of many scenes.
This movie captured so much and it left me completely floored as to what I had just witnessed.
