Shoojit Sircar does it again, showcasing his talent for humanizing characters who might initially seem unlikeable. This film carries echoes of Piku and October, with its intimate storytelling and emotional depth.

However, what felt missing was Juhi Chaturvedi’s signature writing, which often gives us a deeper exploration of supporting characters and their quirks, creating a richly textured and relatable world. Here, the focus remains on the remarkable journey of Arjun Sen, but there’s a certain emotional distance that keeps us…

My first Hitchcock film, and it’s clear why he’s celebrated as the Master of Suspense. His brilliant use of music, inventive camera techniques, and dramatic lighting heightens both the tension and thrills.

While the film is an exceptional thriller, I found its heart lies in its romantic exploration. Initially, Grace Kelly’s seemingly doormat behavior frustrated me, but she quickly won me over with her undeniable charm and confident embrace of her femininity. I was pleasantly surprised with the real twist where she emerges as the true hero of the story.

A captivating portrayal of folklore that crafts a liminal space where desire ultimately triumphs over duty. The film concludes with a poignant irony: the protagonist remains haunted, not by the presence of a ghost, but by its absence.

Through its evocative silences and striking still imagery, this retelling conveys profound emotion and meaning, leaving a lasting impression.

What a joy this movie was to watch! I’ve really been missing romantic comedies from Bollywood, and this film was such a pleasant surprise. It was wonderful to see Vidya in a lighter role, but the real treat was watching Pratik absolutely nail it. His comic timing was impeccable, and he brought this character to life so effortlessly. I’m really hoping for more films like this to come out of Bollywood this year!
