The best commercial film I've seen since God-knows-when. Here, Nolan pulls off a very tough balance, and that is the balancing of big ideas, big spectacle, and big emotion. He pulls it all of marvelously. It would have been so easy for the human element to get lost with all the set pieces and special effects, but this is ultimately a picture about humanity, on the small and large scale.
