Richard Neal’s review published on Letterboxd:
I gave this another go so my daughter could watch it.
The only good thing about my first dozen watches (I worked at the movies when it was released so I saw enough bits to combine for multiple viewings) was the effects. However, the wide shots do not hold up. The shots of falling passengers are still very good.
Billy Zane is, sadly, terrible and they could have cast almost anyone else to improve the film.
I didn't feel the relationship between Winslett and Dicaprio was anything but put on and without feeling that connection the entire story falls apart.
Glad my wife and daughter enjoyed it.
