An Amazing Nostalgic Character Piece
I had heard a lot about this and finally got around to seeing it… and they weren’t lying. This film is fucking great! It feels so real it’s impressive. The writing is layered, deeply intelligent, and full of heart. The direction is incredible; infusing this with perfect 70s stylings and seamlessly balancing that with a sprawling but intimate story. And the acting… holy shit the acting! Paul Giamatti, Da'Vine Joy Randolph, and Dominic Sessa all deliver phenomenal performances!
